Nursery Lesson

In our ward nursery, the children color a picture about the lesson every week. This activity signals the end of the lesson. The pictures are posted on the door so the children can take them home at the end of the day. This way the families know what the children in nursery are learning about, and can reinforce the lesson at home during the week. I have found that the name block at the top becomes very important to the children. They soon learn that their name goes there, and that everyone has a name. They often try to write their own name in the box, and the older children are often able to legibly print the first letter of their name. It is exciting when they see that the teacher can recognize their name from their own attempts. Please feel welcome to use these pages for your nursery or Primary program. |
